E-mail Stampa PDF

Facebook Authentication Joomla Plugin enable Facebook login and the authentication. It forwards authentication credentials provided by the user to the Facebook server, then relays the authentication decision of the mail server back to your Joomla website.

It's not necessary have a Facebook AppID.

The installation procedure is standard, then upload the zip file, enable the plugin and try to login with your Facebook credentials.

Optional: Add an facebook icon to your "login module" maybe using the "Pre-text" parameter. So the users will know they can choose different type of authentication.

Need demo? Try this website! You can chose between normal register and login form or and external authentication with Facebook o Gmail, but using the same joomla login form.

Download Facebook Authentication plugin v2.3 (Joomla 1.5)

Old versions:

Download Facebook Authentication plugin v2.2 (Joomla 1.5)
Download Facebook Authentication plugin v2.1 (Joomla 1.5)

Hi, this plugin seems very easy to use and straightforward , no settings to complete...but it does not function properly.

Specifically, if I try to log in with my facebook credentials, I fail to do so and and at the same time my Facebook account gets locked -and I have to answer questions in order to restore it- with the message saying that it has done so because someone has attempted to login to it from an unknown location, that being the location of the server hosting the website.
Can this be fixed?

Cheers

Oh, for some reason, now that I tried it again, it worked...
...I tried to login with my facebook details (email-password), it did register an account and it lead me to a page where I was able to set desired username and password...
That's how it's supposed to work, right?

Don't know why it failed the last time I tried to do it with the new plugin version...maybe I had another relevant extension published and it conflicted?? (I was trying out different available extensions)
Not sure, but it seems to work...

Now I only have to find an override to be able to use my antispam "EasyCalcCheckPL US" plugin...(it prevented registration with all relevant extensions...all the previous tests were made with that plugin disabled)

the possible reasons can be:
  • the plugin is not enable

  • there are other plugins that are in conflict with the authentication process

  • facebook make more hard the outside authentication

To work with new FB authentication security you need to upgrade to the 2.2 version of the plugin.

I'm installed the facebook and twitter authentication plugins in a existent joomla 1.5 installation but they don't work. Tracing the code I see that they works with a cook call $mycookies, but they don't behave like a cookie. Then, How you use the patern to valid the login?. In facebook you put in the preg_grep function /(c_user|checkpo int)/i while in twitter you put /twid/i, How you know that? I expect you explain to improve the plugins.

Thanks...

Hi
Installed your plugin to test and I face the following problems:

When logging in with a valid local userid and pass, I get the following warning:

Warning: file(cookies13214547352909) [function.file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\AppServ\www\ test_pean\plugi ns\authenticati on\FB.php on line 78

Warning: preg_grep() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in C:\AppServ\www\ test_pean\plugi ns\authenticati on\FB.php on line 78

Also when I logging in with a facebook account (e-mail) that already exists as a local user I get an error

Can you help with these, please.

Thank you for correcting the warnings problem.

Now I have the following problem. When I login with a facebook account I get the following message:

For security reasons, you must pass the remote ip to reCAPTCHA

What do I have to do? There is no reCAPTCHA on my login page!

And there is still the second problem I mentioned:

"Also when I logging in with a facebook account (e-mail) that already exists as a local user I get an error"

Is there any way to overcome this?

Thank you for your help
